The U.S Dept. of Commerce reports that retail sales in October were up .8% and upgraded September sales to a 1% increase. Together these were the largest 2 month increase since spring, 2014!

So Are Housing Starts!

The U.S. Census Bureau reports that October starts of privately-owned housing were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1,323,000, or 23% above October, 2015!

We’re pleased to tell you that the Oregon Dept. of Motor Vehicles now accepts credit and debit cards! We’re not sure why they’re so late to the party that everyone else joined long ago, but we’re glad they did.

And for Lane County home buyers – Housing inventory rose to 2.5 months in July from 1.8 months in June.

And good news for Lane County realtors – Average days on market for sold homes decreased by 24.1% from a year ago!
